The People of UHK Awards celebrate the individuals and teams who go the extra mile and make a real difference to patients, families and colleagues. They will focus on showing appreciation to those who strive to put the care of patients and their families first, as well as those who support the overall team in UHK.  Members of staff from any department or service within UHK can be nominated and are eligible for an award.  

UHK believes that people who go above and beyond and directly or indirectly help to deliver an exceptional patient experience are worthy of this recognition.

In recognition of the close relationship with the community, patients and their families will be able to nominate a member of staff that made a real difference during a patient’s time at UHK.  Members of staff from any department or service within UHK can be nominated and are eligible for an award.  UHK believes that people who go above and beyond what a patient would expect and delivers an exceptional patient experience are worthy of this recognition.

Every day, staff throughout the Hospital either individually or through team work contribute to the care of patients and the overall smooth running of the Hospital. The People of UHK Awards is an opportunity to encourage peer to peer praise, as well as enabling patients to nominate staff who have made a positive impact on their experience.
