To provide high quality care in Emergency Medicine for patients who present to the hospital’s Emergency Department and contribute to the development of emergency care services for the hospital’s catchment area population and the HSE region. To allow progression to a full complement of 5 EM Consultants and the provision of on-call services to further enhance the quality of care provided. To facilitate progression towards the establishment of UHK as a Trauma Unit and further progress to the Acute Floor Model.
